Sad day for me!!
Ok I have lost 76 lbs for good but am now really beginning to struggle. I have been bouncing between 192 and 199 for the last couple of weeks. I weighted myself after diner and the scale said 200. I wanted to sit and cry. Instead I came here and am putting this posting up. I am getting ready to go down stairs and get on my Gizzell if I can figure out how the DVD player works so that I can work out this evening and make sure I make that a part of my nightly ritual. Maybe this is why I am not feeling 100% the last couple of days. If anyone can help please let me know.
THanks,
Cindy
Cindy,
I completely understand where you're coming from. I had my surgery only 10 days before yours and I, too, have slowed in the weight loss department. I have hit mini-plateaus here and there, but I just keep at it and I eventually break through.
Remember to eat properly, take your vitamins and exercise! Mix up your exercise routine every once in a while so that your body doesn't get used to what you're doing. In other words, keep it guessing so it keeps getting rid of the weight.
Most importantly, keep your chin up and have faith in yourself. Also, remember that EVERYONE is different and we all lose at different rates. I fully expected to have 100 pounds gone by my 6-month post-op mark, but was somewhat disappointed with myself when I was only at 74 lbs gone. Once I visited my surgeon for my 6-month check-up and found that he was quite pleased with my progress, I decided that it was OK that I didn't make it to -100 that soon and that I would NOT beat myself up about it and just party when I hit that landmark.
Hang in there!!! You'll get there!
