Boy did I hit the labor day sales!
I went clothes shopping for new clothes for the first time since surgery. I had been getting a lot of stuff at the consignment shop where I took my shrunk out of clothes, but finally broke down and went to the mall. A friend went with me and was runner, as I had no idea of sizes to look for, so I tried on a 16 ( I was wearing 3X before surgery), no good, she ran for a 14, no good, ran for a 12, no good, ran for a 10.... I could not believe it! I have NEVER EVER worn a size 10, never worn a sleeveless shirt, never worn capris, never worn anything but white cotton granny undies.........
Now the problem is, even though everything was on sale, clearance, and 15% off, I still spent too much money!!!!! How do I decide what to take back?????
This feeling of accomplishment, pride, health, what ever is better than any feeling I get from eating something I oughtn't! The compliments and comments from co-workers and patients and their families are unreal!
Down 128# and I didn't measure before surgery so I don't know about inches, a bunch to go down that many dress sizes!
Just had to pass on the feeling!

Sarah,
Congrats on the weight loss and on the shopping spree! What a cool feeling to be in a size that you never were before. I can't wait to get to that point. I am able to check my pictures against different time frames in my album against what weight & size I was. I'm still not where I wanted to be at this stage - but I haven't worked on it religiously in the past 3 months or so. My life has taken aome DRASTIC changes in stress level, medication, career, and now I travel on top of it. So I hope to get back on course soon!
Great job and God bless!
