is anyone else worried about the Holiday's? I will be 11 months post-op by Christmas. I am worried that I may eat to much. I find it harder to not eat when people are around and watching you. I still have a hard time when I go out with my family. I mean how many restraunts start you off with that damn bread? I have been good about not eating it because I know I won't be able to eat anything else. However, come Thanksgiving and Christmas it seems the days revolve around food. There will be food around all day long.

Hi Gina, Just because there is food around doesn't mean you have to eat it. Just because people around you are eating doesn't mean you have to eat. You know what I mean. You're a different person now. I tend to order my food and move it around my plate a lot. I eat it, but slowly. I don't let other people get to me. I have worked way to hard to get where I am at and I'm not going to let anyone bug me!!!! Don't worry about the food. My family at Christmas is insane with food! We gather early on Christmas Eve and that is all we do is eat. Everyone brings their favorites and we have a total pig out!!!! I'm not worried, because I know that one day a year I can eat a little more than normal. Having a bite here or there is not going to hurt you Gina. I plan on tasting everything and I'm not going to feel guilty. I am going to eat slow and make sure I drink lots of water. We can't be afraid of food. It's a new you and don't freak out! You are doing awesome and you need to focus on that. You are going to do just fine. Good luck, but please don't worry and enjoy this holiday season! It's you're first holiday season as the new you!
