I am 37 married with twin boys age 4. I am down about 163 pounds. I started wearing a 5x shirt, now wear a 2x. I was wearing a 60 pants, down to a 42. Goal is to lose about another 50 pounds. Life is good, I was on about 8 different meds prior to surgery. I am currently on nothing. I have recently been asked at my doctor's office if I was a runner because my bp was lower then average. Prior to surgery, I was in the hospital with high bp. like I said life is good.

Hi Barbie, you look great by the way! My name is Catherine, I live in Sumpter Oregon that is a tiny little old mining town up in the mountains of Eastern Oregon. I have deer in my front yard almost all of spring, summer and fall. And I am surrounded by pine trees and mountain peaks. I was hurt on the job in 1997, and I have been disabled every since. But I try to keep active, and contribute to my community as much as possible. I made a cookbook for our Fire Dept. to raise money for new equipment, that was fun, and it still keeps on selling after 2 yrs.! I have been married for over 20 yrs. and I have a beautiful 24 yr. old daughter who lives 5 hrs. away. I had surgery on Jan.22 and it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. My BP was 200/110, I had sleep apnea, my face was constantly red (as you can see by my before picture) I'm waiting for them to post my after pic. I have lost 75 lbs. and over a yard in inches, I was stuck on a plateau for 6 weeks, but now am starting to loose again. I love not being out of breath all of the time, I love watching peoples faces who haven't seen me in awhile. I grew up 30 miles from here and go to town once a week. I like shopping a my local thrift store, there are several ladies who have had this surgery before me and they have donated their clothes. My BP is normal, my face isn't red anymore, I look and feel younger. And slowly my self confidence is returning something I haven't had in along time. I can now look in the mirror and not detest what I see. I can get the attention of people who used to ignore me. I love life more and laugh more, and I find myself smiling more! The best thing I ever did for myself!!! Catherine 275/200/150ish 1/22/04

I am 28 years old, quickly approaching (September 14th) my 8th Wedding Anniversary. I have an 8 year old daughter and a 14 year old step-son that live with my husband and I. He also has two daughter from his first marriage (16 & 17) that live with their mom (on the same street as us). I have lost 94 pounds. Prior to surgery I was wearing a 24 on the bottom and a 26/28 on the top. I am now wearing a size 16 and can even wear a size large top. I am thrilled. I am thankful that I more comfortable (physically) anc can do more things with my kids than I did before. I feel my time with them is much better spent when I can keep up and not feel like I am slowing everyone down. Good luck everyone. Keep up all your hardwork!

My name is Charlotte and I am 32 years old. I am married and have two children--son who is 13 and a daughter who is 10. I live in sunny Arizona--Lake Havasu City--"home of the London Bridge". I am the Assistant Manager at a bank in which I've worked for for 12 years. I have lost a total of 92 pounds so far and no idea how many inches. I started out a size 22/24 and I am now in a size 10/12. And some 8's in work pants. I have 40 lbs to go to get to goal. I am so greatful for this wonderful tool that has helped me to get my life back and for all the great support here. I love being able to do whatever I want now without worrying about making a fool of myself. I exercise daily and feel great. You are all so wonderful! I wish you all the best! We're all like one big family! God bless you all! Charlotte 269/177/137

My name is Stacy I live in Hornell Ny...A very small city in the southern tier. I am 25 years old married with a beautiful 20 month old daughter named BriAnna. Prior to surgery I was in an 18/20 and am currently wearing 6's and 8's. I have lost a total of 81 lbs with 19 more to go (i hope) What I enjoy most now is being able to walk and move without getting very winded or sweat like a "pig" in the heat. Although I certainly get colder a lot quicker. Everyone keep up the good work. Stacy 220/139/120ish
