That is sooo great. I occasionally can eat more then I "think" I should be able to, it really scares me when it happens, I'm afraid I will go back to my old habits. I try to eat things that I know will fill me up quickly, like meat, potatoes, pasta, or bread products. I can eat a ton of crackers though, THey never seem to fill me up, so I am starting to stay away from them. Hang in there. 115 lbs is so great.

Me too!! Sometimes it seems like I eat more than other times...not sure why that is, but I know that I still eat WAY WAY less than I used to. I am still losing weight..slower now, but still losing. I figure if I went a month without losing even a pound, I would worry. There are still times when a couple bites and Im sooo full. It really seem**** or miss to me. My mainstay is crackers since that is one thing that seems to do ok when my tummy is being finicky..which it does frequently. I still get protein in first..or I try to at least, but sometimes I just feel too nauseous. Crackers seem to help with that. I still find so many things I used to LOVE pre-op, just dont taste as good as I remember. Funny how our tastes DO change...I still cant figure out why ..but its a fact of life. Congrats on the 115 loss!!!! that is AWESOME!!! Hugs, Harriet 304/184/160ish

Congratulations Suzy! You're doing awesome. I had surgery on 1/28. I can occasionaly eat an entire sandwich, but not usually. Yesterday I tried to eat 3/4 of a sandwich and I made my self sick. I have a lot of problems with bread. I guess that is good since it isn't exaclty the best thing for me. I am down about 94 pounds and hoping to hit that century mark in the next few weeks. Keep up the good work Suzy!

thanks so much to everyone. i was a little worried but it looks like im okay with my eating. this really is the best thing. i know for a fact i dont eat as much as i used to. before i could eat two sandwiches and still want more. so if one sandwich fills me up then im cool with that. congrats to all of you.

I am seven months post-op and still can't eat bread, so sandwiches are out for me! I don't miss them though. I had surgery on 1/21/24 and was instructed to eat no pasta, crackers, and potatoes for at least a year! I've had no pasta, but have had crackers when I feel neausa and I have had a couple of bites of mashed potatoes. I always eat my portien first and eat a lot of chicken, red meat, and turkey, ham, and pork chops. I can't eat cube steak or hamburg! I too on some days eat more than others. I walk at least 3 miles four days a week. And I've started walking to work (it's only about 7/10 of a mile one way). I'm losing slower now only a pound last week! Oh well! I'm down a total of 102! Keep up the good work eveyone and best of luck on your continued WLS journey! Kimberley 248/236/146/120 Some day I hope.
