Chewable Vitamins -
My insurance (Tricare prime) will no longer cover the cost of my chewable prenatal vitamins. I am really concerned that the over the counter coated vitamins will not absorb properly in our new bodies. The other side is that the bariatric vitamins that you can buy from several of the websites are SOOOOOOO expensive. I have my 6 mo checkup in a week and will ask my surgeon but I wanted some input from all of you. Especially since most of you have already had your 6 mo check up. Are you using different vitamins and how is your bloodwork?
So far I have lost 90 lbs and like many of you am sitting on a month long plateau. I am not going to go crazy about it. I am thrilled with my results so far. In fact - if I could just loose my belly I would be perfectly happy right where I am now.
Thanks for your help

Hi Char,
I use flintstones chewables too and have no problem! I've used those from the beginning. I'm down 125 pounds and now that we are past six months it does come off much slower! But at least it's still coming off!!!! Good luck with the next leg of this journey! You're doing awesome as I feel we all are!!

I take a generic brand (either at CVS or Sams depending on where I am when I need to buy them), 2 chewables a day, the vitamins compare to chewable Flinstones complete (different than plain Flinstones), and not expensive. Less than $10 for 150 tablets which last over 2 months. No problem with lab work, etc, down 120.5# so far at 40 weeks post surgery.
Good luck
Sarah
