angela, i also have hair loss. i take sublingual b-12 (under the tongue), muti with iorn, calcuium and a fiber tablet. everytime i brush my hair the whole bottom of the brush would be filled with hair. my neice gave me a conditioner for cancer patients called NIOXIN. I am not kidding after ONE use, my brush was 3/4 less full of hair. It was unbelievable. try it. good luck. michelle
I am almost 7 months out now................ I am doing great............ Survived a leak and I am down 91lbs............ I am not sure where I am going to stop losing at............. I platue all the time........... I will not lose for a while and bam the next day 5lbs gone! Hard to tell............ Glad that everything is going well for you hun!
Congratulations on your weight loss!!! I had my 6 month appointment last Friday. I have lost 116lbs since surgery. I went through an ulcer, a stricture and a post RNY gallbladder removal. My B12 is low so I have to take extra B12 vitamins right now. Just trying to be patient as my new stomach seems to have a mind of it's own deciding when and if it want to have food in it. But hey- the weight loss makes up for it!!!
I had surgery Jan 12th and have lost 90 lbs so far. I am still having trouble eating meats! I have lost about half of my hair as well (didn't have that much to begin with) but I bought a hair peice that makes it look like I have it in a pony tail. I have gone from a size 24-26 to a size 12 in just six months! I never thought life could be so great!
Congrats to all that love themselves enough to take this risk, enjoy the rest of your life!

Well it's been 6 months for me the 19th. I have lost a total of 130 lbs and I have never felt better in my life. If I had to do it again I would. This website has been the best the support is so great. There are so many people that depend on this, and I'm one of them I would not have made it this far without. I want to thank everyone that has shared their problems, their happiness along with their accomplishment. Keep up the good work everybody!!!!!!
I had my 6 month check up on the 19th even though I won't "officially" be 6 months until the 30th. I am down a total of 66 pounds on the 19th. I started at 240 and am now 170 as of yesterday. That is a total of 70 pounds. I feel incredible and I am learning how to rollerblade with my kids. This surgery made a new life possible and I am forever greatful.

I had my follow up yesterday and I am down 87 pounds--45 more to go to get to my doctor's goal of 137. I have lost a lot of hair but my surgeon says a lot of people go through that after this surgery but that at about 6 months it starts getting better. I feel great. I am in a size 12 pants, actually even some 10's. And I am in a large top. I am now really focusing on lots of exercise to get the rest of my weight off and to get into great shape. And I am starting to train for a marathon. This is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I still give myself Vitamin B-12 shots but other than that, I am healthy! And I love hearing "you're getting so skinny!" Isn't life grand!
Good Luck to everybody!

I will offically be at 6 months tomorrow the 30th. As of today I have lost 102 lbs, I want to loose another 48 to reach my goal of 170. Things I can do now that I couldnt do 6 months ago...... sit comfortably in a movie theater seat, and stadium seat. Go tubing, walk for 45 minutes at 3.5 miles per hour on a 6% incline. walk up 2 flights of steps without my heart racing, sleep through the night without waking myself up snoring eat 4-6 ounces of food and feel full, walk past candy, cakes, cookies, without wishing I was eating them. and last but not least, buy clothes without X's in the size. It has been a great journey, and am so glad I found this site to converse with all of you.
