Hi all - I was wondering, what's your menu like at this far out? I have been really struggling with food lately, can't tolerate more than 2 teaspoons at times. I know I'm not getting enough protein in - I do drink 2 shakes a day, getting in 60 grms of protein, but I know I need more. I can't seem to get it from foods, in fact the thing that works best is fruit. What is your experience?? ((hugs)) Carla 384/280/175

I am eating pretty much anything - unfortunately. My meals consist of 4 oz max. 3 oz meat & 1 oz veggie. Snacks are cheese, nuts, and beef or turkey jerkey. For breakfast or snack sometimes I have a Balance Gold bar. Best of luck. Dawn -77

Hi Carla, Well I found this yogurt that I just love it's a mousse and it's orange dream cycle. It's whipped and too good, I keep loosing and I eat it for breakfast every morning along with a cup of Mott's apple cinnamon applesauce. for lunch I usually have a bowl of salad, my fave is grilled chicken breasts on the BBQ, and chop each one up and put it in a ziplock bag for the whole week, I also add 1 t of soy sauce and 2 pkgs splenda to the meat 1 breast to a bag and then freeze it. I take out my one chicken breast in the morning and fill 1/2 the bowl with salad, I add maderine oranges, red onions, tomatoes, and sometimes chunks of cheese. And then I top it off with some poppyseed dressing. I'm hooked on it, I try to have it every day for lunch. Try it...it satisfies all your cravings at once. For dinner I eat what ever my husband is having, usually BBQ meat and a salad, we got that from the Carb Addicts Diet and feel better at night after eating. I am currently having trouble with snacking, it's more like grazing, I must stop, but am having trouble. I hope this gave you some new ideas. Good Luck

Carla, I am eating a lot of yogurt. Krogers has a 6 oz no fat, made with splenda yogurt that is only 80 cal and has 7 gm of protein, and the small chunks of fruit are just the right size. You can add a little bit of milk powder to boost the protein up a bit without changing the taste or texture. My surgeon told me I could stop the supplements at my 3 mo f/up appt, but I find I don't usually get enough protein in a day if I don't have at least one. I usually eat 2 yogurts a day, then dinner I try to eat about 2-3 oz of meat, a fruit and a veggie. Sometimes I can only get in the protein. I also find that I can eat a slice of cheese almost anytime as a snack, at only 60 cal and 6 protein it is a good deal. The yogurt works well for work days, as it is easy to eat and swallow and not get sick on easily, which is important at work. It looks like you are doing great! Down 104#, is that right? Fantastic!!!!!! Keep on with being a loser! Sarah

I can eat anything - fortunate or unfortunate? I averaged 611 calories last month. Breakfast: Dr. Atkins Morning Start cereal 1/2 cup (NO MILK) High protein, low carb Lunch: 3.5 oz meat (normally with Bar-B-Que or Heines 57 sauce) Veggie Dinner: 3.5 oz meat Veggie Snack Cheese or S.F. Popcicle I will on occasion eat a couple of pieces of s.f. candy but have not eaten any sugar since surgery. I try to stay completely away from rice, potato, flour, (bad carbs). I'm not perfect but take this seriously and try to follow my food plan to the letter. I work out in the gym 5 days a week for 30-45 minutes. Best of luck to all on your wls journey!
