Hi! Finally checked out the message board!!! and after reading it for a few days I decided to post. I had surgery on jan 8th and it has now been 5 months. I was just feeling a little weird, you know you hear of all the super losers at 6months yada yada and was just wondering how everyone else was doing. I have lost 90 pounds (still can't notice it though....the whole mind game thing!) went from 322 to 232. Lately have only been losing 3-4 pounds a week and my surgeon is dissapointed because he wants me to lose 5/week. he told me to eat less!!!! I work out with a trainer 3 times a week, do yoga, ball work and walk on the off days, but I don't know how I can eat less!!!!! I find when I do, the weight slows down!!!!! I followed his advice but only lost 1 pound each week for a couple of weeks. I was just wondering what everyone can eat. I am a vegetarian and try to get in 3 protein shakes a day, but my lunch is mine and my snacks (mostly cheese sticks or almonds etc.) however.... I can eat a piece of pizza or a few fries and I do. is that crazy? or am I just a little obsessive?!? any help would be appreciated! thank you! Kathleen ?????? -someone please explain the 3 number thing.... should it be: 322/232/160ish?!?

Kathleen It sounds like you are doing great! 3 to 4 lbs a weeks is Wonderful! I WISH I lost that much. I think I only lost like 9 pounds last month! My surgeon says to try to get 800 to 1200 calories a day. If you cut your calories too low, you're metabolism will get all wacked out and you won't lose as much. Oh---and I"M SURE you can tell a weight loss! Post a picture and we'll all be your judge! OK?! You're doing great! Keep it up! Charlotte 269/196/141 Oh---and yes---you got the number thingy down perfect!

Hi Kathleen, I think you are doing fantastic too. If you cut your calories too much your body will go into starvation mode and you won't lose. I would keep up doing exactly what you are doing, it obviously works well for you. Oh! By the way, WELCOME to the January board!! So glad you joined us! 263/186/150ish

Welcome to the January Jumpers Board Kathleen! I not only loose more weight when I eat sufficient amounts, but I feel better- so I exersize more too! Congrats on the weight loss - that is tremendous! 4 to 5 pound weight loss is a pretty good clip for the body on a weekly basis. Don't fret - you are doing just fine!
