five months post
5 months post and doing pretty well. I have lost the lbs. (about 100). This is going great. Clothes don't fit but they are more comfortable now than too tight/snug if you know whaI mean. The only thing nagging me is trying to get used to carrying less weight. It seems to have changed my walk/gait, my wife says I walk like an old man now. Has anyone else had a similar expierence? I believe it's because of some muscle loss/ tone, maybe I should get off my butt and exercise/walk more. Any hoot the problems I face now are not as large as before, no pun intended. I looking forward to a healthier life w/o the extra weight as long as the Lord says the same. To all my sisters and brothers out there, God bless and keep losing. Glorious health to you all!!!!

James,
Doing a GREAT job there!!
I know what you mean......since the weight loss my back has started to give me problems...odd, i never had many problems with my back before surgery, but I was told its because of the drastic weight change. I think I need to make more time for walking to strengthen those muscles.

Great job on the weight loss!
I think the walk changes due to the fact that for so many years we have walked a certain way to carry around all this extra weight. Now our bodies are all out of alignment! I think the best thing to do for ourselves is WALK, WALK, and WALK some more!
I haven't really noticed a change in my walk but I have had a lot of hip pain. If I have been sitting for 1/2 hr to an hour and then get up to move around, I feel like an 80 year old lady for about the first couple of minutes. Then it goes away! Also my butt falls asleep all the time! But my surgeon says it's just from the weight change, exercise, etc. I walk about 3 to 4 miles about 5 days a week and it has helped A LOT!!!! I used to have back pain all the time and it usually feels pretty good now!
Once you start walking daily you will become addicted to it! After a stressful day at the office, I look forward to my walk just to unwind!
Keep up the Great Losing!
