I was stuck at 202 forever it seemed!!! Then one day when I got on the scale it said 198. I did a little jig, I was so happy to be under 200. Now it seems I am stuck at 185. These plateaus do happen, and we do get past them! My next goal is a pair of jeans in the single digits. I am now a 14. I started out at size 24 or 26. Depended on the pants. Actually I used to live in leggings, because it was hard to find a pair of pants that size and short enough for me. My pants were just as wide as they were long! So I stuck to stretch pants. Now I wear jeans almost every day. What a feeling. I wear my old stretchies to bed!!! We will all get there! Yeahy for us!!! Desirae 272/185/140

Hi Kelli, I would love to have lost over 70 lbs by now. I just went to my surgeon yesterday (I'm almost 4 1/2 months out) and he was happy with my 55 lbs loss since surgery. I thought it was too low. I go to curves 4-5 days a week and do alot of other exercise on the weekend. I drink my protein shakes (75 to 90 grams a day)and take my vitamins and get at least 50 to 70 ounces of additional liquid (mostly water or low calorie and no carbonated drinks) besides my protein shakes, but my loss is still slow. I've tried eating fewer carbs and just getting my protein with regular foods. Nothing seems to change. My body is loosing at it's own rate and that is that. I've also hits several plateau's where I've lost nothing for a week to 10 days. So, you're not alone. I wish you continued success. Barbara
