How Everyone Going?
I had surgery 1/20/04 I have lost about 67 lbs.. I work out 3-4 times per week at curves. I have alot of energy. I eat mostly protein and vegetables, however I am addicted to carbs and must monitor them closely because they truly slow down my weightloss. I cna eat almost anything, except sugar and fatty foods. I crave salty snacks: pork rines, crackers, cheezits. Some days I am so anxious about reaching goal it drives me crazy. I didn't do this to fail.
Pray for me.
You're doing great! I can eat almost anything as well. My only advice is to try to get it away from you or don't bring it into the house at all. I don't deny myself, though, so if I'm really craving something (usually around TOM) DH will pick up a small (snack) bag of chips or something on his way home from work for me, and even that lasts two or three lunches (it's not the only thing I eat for the meal, of course!).
I have a question about Curves -- could you tell me about how much it costs per month? (I know it probably varies by location but just a ballpark number would let me know where I stand in likeliness of joining!)
Sounds like you are doing great! I can not really do milk anymore and no protein shakes I can tolerate sugar and just about everything else......... I mostly eat fruits and protein......... prunes and bannana's work best for me and a slice of orange from time to time! I have lost 70lbs so far........... I was at a stand still there for a while but it is coming off again that I am eating more........... I do not think I was getting enough calories in!
Hi MrsCookie,
We had surgery one day apart! my date is 1/21/04... we have very similar weight losses too... I am in the 60+ range as well. ( I only use the doctor's scale as official) I was down 60 lbs at my last visit... and that was a month ago! So I know I've lost SOMETHING since then! Congrats on your weight loss. Lets' keep it up! Pray for me and I'll be praying for you too..We WON"T fail!
Hang in there!

We are twins, I had surgery on 1/20/04 also. I only weigh once a week, last Sunday I had lost 64 lbs post op plus the 58 pre-op for a total of 122 lbs. I'd still like to lose another 100 lbs but I don't know if it's going to happen at the rage I've been losing.
The weight is a minor consideration compared to how I feel. If anybody had told "couch potato" me prior to wls that I'd ever be exercising in the gym every day for 30-45 minutes I'd have given them a disgusted look. Disgusted with myself mostly, because I didn't figure I'd ever be able to do it again. I am working in my yards again and loving it, my closets are getting cleaned out one by one. You get the picture I am feeling great and kicking my heels up every chance I get. Life is great
Food has not been a problem for me (haven't tried sweets). I make healthy choices with few exceptions. I decided going in I didn't have to be perfect, but my metabolism is slow so the only way I am going to post a decent weight loss is to cut the carbs and stay completely away from sugar. The up side of not being a fast loser is that I am eating healthier than I've ever eaten in my life. Hopefully that will pay off once I've lost my weight, because I will be in the habit of eating healthy.
Glad to hear all you fellow wls gals are doing so great after your surgery.
Keep up the good work.
