Hello January's!!! I will be 4 mnths out on the 26 and I hope to be out of the 200's by then. I have lost 65+ I was 272 and I am now 207. I feel awesome both physically and mentally. I have weeks alot where I stay the same and then I will lose 3 or 4 pnds so its steady. I think I am able to eat alot more than I thought I would. Things go down easier, sometimes they will get stuck but not like it use to. I am trying to make the right decisions. I love carbs and have some of those every once in while but sugars I stay far away from because I am scared of dumping,. I never have and dont want to. When I say carbs I mean like a pretzel here and there like popcorn at night sometimes, maybe a 1/2 cup so thats not to bad. I walk at least every other day 2 1/2 miles through a local park and I am loving the sizes going down. Its been hot here lately and I wish I was at the point I would wear a bathing suit but I am blessed to be where I am at. I have to say that I never liked the protein, I had all my blood work done and I am all good, nothing wrong and I dont have hair loss so I believe I get my proteins from my foods and vitamins.
I pray everyone else is where they want.
I would say that having surgery was the best thing that I have done. I started the process at 455 lbs. I am down to 329, for a total loss of 126 lbs. Keep in mind that, I am 6'8''. I have a problem with protein. No matter what I have tried it has made me sick. I recently found liquid protein at GNC that is Ok, except for the taste. I started eating fruit and veggies, with no problem. I can't eat meat, it still makes me sick.
Hey all!
My 4 months won't be until the 21st, but still coasting along! I'm eating most anything good for me. All kinds of meat, veggies and fruit. I'm working on developing a healthy & tasty snack list. I love popcorn! The new snack paks are just the right size. I also like goldfish in moderation. They are salty & crunchy - so satisfy cravings. I've bought a cappucino machine and have a latte everyday. I'm hooked!
As for exercise....I could be doing more. I am now playing tennis 3x week and I walk two times a week. I belong to a gym & started out going regularly, but have gotten away from it. I need to head back - at least for strength training...
I hope you all are doing wonderful - I wouldn't trade this for the world! PS - I've been to the beach here, but then I've always been ok in a bathingsuit. My opinion is if you don't like the looks of me in one ~ then don't look! HAHAHAHA! Take care all!

Well, after reading everyone's weight loss, I am now really depressed!!!! Yack! My 4 mos. will be the 26th and I have lost 48 lbs., I have 55 lbs to reach my goal. I am very happy with the surgery, but surprised at how slow I am losing...2-3 lbs a week MAX!!! Just this month my hair has started to really fall out. I'm freaking out, but I'm hoping since I have so much hair it won't be all that noticeable.

My 4 months is on the 29th. I can eat just about anything. The only things that really bother me is bread and pasta. That is ok though because I don't need them anyway. I can still eat alot. Not anywhere near what I used to but I think alot for this surgery. I try really hard to watch my intake. I have lost 46 pounds, so I know what slow is all about. As far as exercise, I could be doing a whole lot better. I am still on Zoloft and Avandia. The Avandia is on its way out though. Yea! I am starting to loose a lot of hair. Thank goodness I have a lot. The front is starting to get pretty thin. Life is getting better and better!
Hope everyone else is happy with their surgery so far.

I feel great. I have lost 50 pounds and I have lots of energy. Too much at times and I can't sleep though. I just got my labs back and they are pretty good. My B12 is high still so I guess I will have to cut back on that. I can eat a little bit of most things. Had bad experiences with pasta early and can't get myself to try it anymore. Can eat all meat as long as it isn't hard and dry. CANNOT DO EGGS at all. I can eat them but they come back up and up and up and up .... Also had a bad experience with canned spinach one night so it might be awhile for that one too. Exercising everyday but I tried to start crunches Sunday and last night I couldn't do but one! Guess it might be a little early or maybe I did too many. So far I am not really losing any more hair than usual but I have been using the Nioxin since a week before surgery. I might try some of the biotin I have been reading about. I won't be 4 months until the 27th.
On the 19th it will be 4 months for me. I have lost about 80 pounds so far and hope to lose another 40. My diet consist of cottege cheese and yogert. I drink two protein shakes per day and drink lots of water. I have had two operations and 3 scopes. Go back to the hospital tomorrow for my 4th scope. The DR. will try to dialate out to 12 mm and see how that works. Other than the above everything is going great. Off all medications and blood pressure is way down. I do enjoy being outside so much more this year and walk about 2 miles a day.
Hi all...
Overall I feel good, though still waiting for the energy surge I have heard about. I am down 46 pounds since surgery, 77 pounds since initial consult. I can eat just about anything in moderation. I can get all my fluids in (either water or crystal lite) and walk at least 3-5 days per week along with strength training. My hair has started to fall out. My zinc level came back a little low, so I will have to start a supplement. I still do one shake a day for breakfast and get a total of 70-90 grams of protein a day.
