Cheryles lap band surgery

Cheryle is at home and still recuperating , they just took the drain out of her. Cheryles surgery was a disaster and she nearly died from it. She had to have the band removed and had to go into the OR with a 105 temp. Her doctor said it was a perforation, he dosen't know what caused it. Anyone considering this procedure think it over because this surgery has not been done here in the US for long. In fact Cheryles surgeron is discouraging lap bands. I was told this on the message board from RI by someone who attended on of his seminars. Cheryle is also have a lot of post traumatic stress from this . Cheryles mom

There are alot of things that can go wrong with any surgery! I had alot of complications with the RNY............I hope that she is feeling better and is doing much better........God Bless!
