Hi January Posters Help?
I am a march Poster and our march people are fretting because we all seem to be plateauing. Just wanted to know your experience in your first 3 months with weight loss. I know I actually gained a pound and I am 5 weeks out. I lost 32 pounds so far but it has been 2-3 weeks since I have lost anything! Just wondering what your experiences are with the plateaus and any tips? Thanks so much

I agree with Nancy... I plateau'd as well... lasted at least a week! did it a couple of times!!!! it was very frustrating... I stayed off the scales as much as possible... just went by what was going on with my clothes...I was loosing inches... but you must drink your water... and get all your protein in, if you can..that was hard at first.... it will pass... do your walking too ..exercise helps.

It seems all my weightloss has been one plateau after another. Once for almost a week and a 1/2!
I finally got tired of the "another failed attempt at weightloss feeling" and resolved to weigh once a week, and sometimes I loose several inches in one spot and none in the others...
Finally I have resolved that my body is trying to hold on to every pound and inch, and it is a constant tug of war.
But the secret is you will win it will just take it's own sweet time about it!
Water is very important and walking too. As far as eat more or less, I think it's a day by day thing. Eat too little and starvation mode kicks in, eat too much and the carb/calorie problem kicks in. It's like trying to juggle with no balls.
Good Luck!
Thanks so much everyone. Yes it is a struggle. Definitely on and off weight loss. I finally dropped a pound. Its been almost 2 weeks. I hear you about the starvation mode kicks in and then the calorie thing. I have been trying to even myself out because i think I was having that problem. One day not eat hardly a thing the next eat more than normal. I have to balance there somewhere. I have been getting in my protein and water too and feel better. Thanks so much again for your input its very comforting to know this weight loss will kick into gear again. God Bless!!!
