I cant beleive this its now the beginning of April and I feel so blessed. I started at 325 and I am now at 265 just a little over 8 weeks and I feel awesome...I am so thrilled I also feel a little guilty..I have had no problems with food...Chicken,tuna, steak, ground beef, pork, fish, shrimp nothing is bothering my stomach..one of my closest friends who had surgery last summer asked me if I was sure I even had the surgery...I laughed and said I had all the tubes and scars like i did....she still has some issues with foods..I am drinking lots of water over 24 ozs a day and my urine is almost clear..I am waiting to be below 250..I am also going to the Kenny Chesney concert on may &th and cant wait to buy a new outfit for it..of coarse wont be until the day before but cant wait...all of my clothes swallow me up now and i refuse to buy anything now...

Hi there, Congrats, on the weight loss. You are doing great. You sound alot like myself. I am tolorating foods as well. I stick mostly to chicken and turkey, just because that is what I prefer. My family and I eat out alot, and I worry about that alot. I eat so little and the restaurants have not been as corropperative as I would like to them be about just giving me a half portion or letting me order off the kids menu. I have so many to-go boxes in the fridge. Anyway, the docotr told me that because of my age, I would tolorate things better. I healed real fast and have little to no complications. Email me anytime if you would like to talk. The losser in Clearlake, Texas, Kristal V.

Hey Sherry, Congrats on the weight loss! It is so awesome the transformation that takes place after surgery. Make sure you treat yourself to something real nice for the concert! I'm learning how to reward myself without using food as the catalyst. I used to reward myself with ice cream, candy bars, chocolate, etc. But now I am rewarding myself with small, little surprises. For instance, I bought a bunch of plants I wanted to plant in my courtyard - before I would have thought that it was a waste of money - because they would die soon anyway. So see - there are ways to make us very happy without food! I love discovering the ways... God Bless! Barbie 1-21-04 281/235/150

Stories like yours make me envious. Not that I am not happy for you, just that I wi**** could be me too. I had surgery 1/20/04 and have lost 42 lbs. I feel blessed too because I have never been in any serious pain, haven't felt depressed or tired. I can eat anything (except grits) if I just eat slowly and chew. I just have to believe my time will come on the weight loss even if it is a bit slower. Best wishes for a continued easy wls journey.
