Hey January Jumpers! March has left its mark on our second full month of our journey! After reading posts - we have collectively lost a ton of weight! Congrats goes out to each of us all!!! Excercise and water also seem to be part of the norm instead of struggle at this stage. I have also seen a few of our brothers and sisters are still in the healing stage and some not doing as well as they'd hoped. For April - let's work on a goal that helps others. Pick something personal to you - whether it be in your family, your community or on this site - support someone, offer words and actions of comfort. All month long share your stories of support and comfort given to others, and that received by others. Let's make April another GREAT month to remember! My goal this month is to finally sign-up to be a Big Sister in my local Big Brothers/Big Sisters program. I have a lot to offer a young lady and I need to share. Getting off almost 40 pounds has given me more confidence and encouragement to get off MY BUTT and give back. I'm encouraged by the awesome support that I get off this board, and other boards on this site. God Bless! Barbie 1-21-04 281/234/150

Happy April Fools Day to you too Barbie. I had my surgery on 1-21-04 in Saranac Lake, NY and I'm new to this site. I lost 12 lbs. before my surgery and have lost an additional 44 lbs. Yesterday, I was depressed, feeling sorry for myself, I guess. I'm down to 192 lbs. and I feel I should be lower than that. When I look in the mirror, I still see the same old me. I can sure see it in my clothes! I've gone from a womens 22/24 to a misses 18! I just can't wait to get to my goal! The night before my surgey I had my daughter take a picture of me in my bathing suit and one again when I hit the 50 pound mark (50 total) I still need to get them developed! I'm hoping once I put the pictures side by side I see the difference. Kimberley 1-21-04

Barbie, There is so much more to contribute when you can MOVE! I direct a nursery school as well as teach a sunday school class of seven 5th grade boys, and my improved health has made such a difference. My husband says that it seems like he wakes up to a different woman every morning. I met a man a few weeks ago that is having his surgery in May. He was so encouraged to meet me and share his concerns and dreams. You should of seen his face when he found out I had just had surgery! He really felt that God had lead us to each other. Kimberly (above) not only share surgery dates (the 21st), but also surgeons, and we were in the hospital together. Kimberly, you crazy woman! Congratulations on a size 18. Amazing, isn't it? I was in Parishville last weekend for the school play and spent some $ at SLU'S bookstore. I probably wouldn't have recognized you even if I did see you, you bean pole. Email me. I eagerly await my new jogging stroller which should be here on Saturday. A JOGGING stroller. Can you all believe it? Catherine 310/don't know 'cause I don't own a scale/able to jump rope
