Hi Everyone
I'm 9 weeks Post Op and I have been fighting platau after platau. I guess now I know why I had so much trouble loosing weight to begin with.
I'm walking every other day, and started taking vitamins that are swallowed instead of chewed, for some reason texture is a new gag reflex for me. Not all food just pills, my dietician recommended that I drink 2 cups of milk instead of the calcuim. And 2% is all I can tollerate.
Any suggestions on platau removal? I don't mind here and there but everytime is driving me crazy...
I'm taking Vistavitamins, I noticed right away that I was feeling better when I started taking them. I looked on the box and they have a website. Vistavitamins.com, the capsuls are big but go down smoothly. Thanks for your help!
Hi Catherine,
I'm nearly 3 months out now and have had MANY plateaus too. I'm melting again right now, but just waiting for the next plateau to hit. I'm only down about 45 pounds, and mind you, I'm not complaining, but I see others losing a whole lot more than me in a shorter time. So I totally hear ya!! I am horrible about taking vitamins too. I found that when I ate a bit more than I usually do, it got the plateau moving. Best wishes to you. Keep us posted.
Catherine,
I am a bit further out than you and I keep going up a 1/2 to a 1lb here and there PLUS I am a slow loser in comparison (which I know we shouldn't compare ourselves to others) I've lost 42.5 lbs and I will be 3 mths out on the 7th of April.
I am VERY happy with my loss but it is also discouraging to hit those plateaus and to gain that bit of weight here and there from time to time.
My suggestion is to make sure you get PLENTY of protein and make sure you're getting in enough calories.. like someone else posted it seems like the days I am able to eat a bit more I lose.. weird but it works!
Keep up the good work!!
Hugs,
Tracy
