I just found this board and its great. I'm happy to meet everyone and compare notes. I'm doing a little better eating after almost 11 weeks being post-op. I still have touble taking my vitamins, they make me want to gag I just got on the scale this AM and I've lost 55 lbs and am feeling great. but I seem not to have the energy to do all that exercising yet. I barely make it through work (12 hour shifts). Becky Ramos

Hi Tracy, I'm taking centrum multivitamin and its so huge! I have trouble with large pills. I'm going to go to vitamin world next week and see if I can find something different but comparable. I also take vitalady's calcium citrate, which i have to take 4 times a day. I just have trouble with pills. When I take them, it seems like I'm gagging or full afterwards. Any vitamin help would be appreciated.

Welcome Becky! Congrats on the weight loss! That is just awesome! I know what you mean about the pills. I have the same thing - so I'm having trouble getting in my calcium. My endocrinologist said to take tums. I know that is carbonate calcium - which I said to him. He said that all the talk about carbonate and citrate is not necessary to worry about - my very top notch surgeon said the same thing. So I'm very confused. I've heard so many different things here - but my very knowledgeable doctors (one affiliated with a top notch university center) are telling me different. So here is what I try to do. I get in my 2 tums a day, then try to choke down at least one other calcium pill a day. That way I have both of them covered. Good luck - keep doing what you're doing! Barbie 1-21-04 281/246/150

I know EXACTLY what you mean about the vitamins. I take two chewable Flintstones a day and I can hardly choke them down. They don't really taste that bad, but I just can't hardly take them. Most days I don't. I thought about the Centrum liquid but it doesn't have enough iron in it. I'd be happy to hear any suggestions about vitamins too. Congratulations on your weight loss! Awesome.

I take Centrum Chewables, they are orange flavored and really not bad at all and Caltrate chewables which are assorted fruit flavors and pretty good as well. I wanted to switch to GNC vitamins (Ultra Mega or whatever) but it's a pretty big pill so i was a bit worried about that. Hope you find something soon that works!! Hugs, Tracy
