Hey January Losers... Maybe some of you are having the same problem - so I thought I'd turn to the greatest peeps in the whole world for advice - YOU!!!!!! How are you getting in your water everyday? Any fun tricks, amusing ideas, rewards, reminders or reinforcements? I just have such a hard time. I do find that on days that I excercise it is pretty easy, but on other days, it seems near impossible to drink that much - I'm just not thirsty. What's a girl to do??? Barbie 1-21-04 281/250/150

Hi Barbie, I wish I had the magic answer for you but I am looking for it too. I have never been a big liquid drinker and it hasn't become any easier now. I really struggle to get the fluid in and some days just don't do it. One person on my local (MN) forum uses a timer that reminds her to drink. I'm back to work and I honestly forget to drink most of the time. I'd be happy to hear some ideas as well. Good luck!

Barbie, Hi, The way I keep track of my fluid intake is writing it down on the Fridge and keep tab of it. As soon as I get to fifty oz's I treat my self to a diet iced tea with splenda. Linda 1/26/04 237/202/goal 120

I have an Eddie Bauer water bottle from Target and when filled, it's 23 oz. I drink three of them a day with half-strength Crystal Light. I also drink a small V-8 every day and on many days, 8 oz. of milk. That's how I get in my water. I have heard that for some people, ice helps a lot. One idea I heard was to go to Sonic and get one of their cups filled with their little bitty ice and suck on that all day. I guess there's a minimal fee ($.10 or so), but it helps bunches. Another thing I do is to always fill the bottle before driving or attending any type of meeting. For some reason (probably because my mind is elsewhere), I can usually fini**** off by the time the meeting or drive is done. Good luck!
