Caffeine

I know caffeine is not recommended, but I have had a few sips here and there of caffeine containing products. I did notice that the time that I had more than a sip, I got hungry, so I know drinking a lot of caffeine wouldn't be ideal for my weightloss especially considering that is the only time since my surgery that I ever felt hungry. But, in general, is it somehow dangerous to have a few sips of somethign with caffeine in it from time to time? Thanks! ~Tricia~DOS: 01/19/04~Down 50lbs!!!!

No Tricia, I don't think a sip here and there will give you any problems. They just don't want you to have a lot because as you said, it stimulates hunger. It also has something to do with iron in your blood, causing anemia. So I'd go easy on it. I have a cup of regular coffee once in a while. I'm not so wild about coffee since I've had the surgery. Guess my taste buds have changed. Oh, congratulations on the loss of 50 lbs, that is awesome!!!

Caffeine does more bad than good. I have opted to just stay away. Also we have such a low intake of everything now. I would be afraid of getting dehydrated from caffine. They say for every caffeine drink you should replace it with 2 equal amounts of water. Just my opinion. Dawn -44 congrats on the -50 woooo hoooo
