Hi my name is Susan, I'm 52 years young. Missy is my pom-chi, and Mr. Smiley is my pomeranian, Miss Minnie is our cat. Oh yeah, Roland is my new husband, we've been married 1.5 years. Together we have 7 granddaughters, ages 19 months to 12 years old. I have lost 40 pounds in 6 weeks, I started at 270 pounds. In March I hope to recover enough from the surgery that I feel more like my old self. I'm going to see a nutritionist who specializes in WLS patients, and I'm going to request an endoscopy to see if there is something wrong with my stomache opening. Good luck everyone!

Hello! My name is MaryJo I am 29 years young and have a wonderful hubby Tom who will be having his surgery June 23rd. We are a tag team! I had my open RNY 1/21/04 and I am down 35 pounds so far. We have a 5 year old yellow lab Jake, 2 tiger kitties Roscoe and Cledus, and a huge surprise to us both was our newly adopted 7 month old son Logan who we recieved when I was one week post-op, we actually got the call from my social worker while I was at my appointment getting my sutures taken out! He is such a blessing and such a good baby. We have had so much luck this year finally! For this month of March my goal is to eat less crackers I have been craving for them and trying to eat like 4 Ritz crackers twice a week and I want to eat none, and drink more protein shakes to try and hit the scales down 15 more pounds this month. Good luck everyone with thier goals! Take care and best wishes-MaryJo

Hi, my name is Wanda and I am 41, married to Hubby for 23 years, have 3 children ages 20, 17, and 17. (Yes twins!) My 20 yr old son's wife is expecting our first grand baby in July. We have one dog, Jake, that's a Jack Russell. He is wild and a big baby! I have lost a total of 35 lbs so far and feeling really great! I am going today and enroll in a gym to tone up this excess skin and build some muscles. I can feel the bones in my arms for the first time in ages! Now I want to see what muscles feel like! Thanks for the questions, it is very interesting to read the posts. Wanda

Hey Barbie - Great post. Here goes: My name is Frances, I'm 31, married for 10 years, with five cats, Sarah, Anna, Grey, Owyn, and Nicky. My husband is going to school to be an RN while I work as a Webmaster/Software Engineer. My surgery was 1/12/04 and I've lost 52.5 pounds. My goal for March is to 1) start doing weights, and 2) get down to 250 pounds (that would have me down 63 pounds). But really, I'm trying to get ready for June - my sister got engaged last month and so we're all going to Jamaica for her wedding. I soooo hope to be down 100 pounds by then! Frances

Hi Everybody. I hope we get this board going. Been a little slow lately. I am 6 weeks out. Lost 33 pounds so far. I started exercising "hard" last Friday per Dr. orders. Before that I was just walking. My goal weight is 126 for next Christmas. I am 5'2" and have small bones. I am single and mother of 1 boy and 1 Jack Russell terrier . I started aqua aerobics today......I have missed it. Love it! Doing Reebok Step and Walking Away the Pounds. 6 Pound free weights until my lifting restrictions are over in 6 more weeks or so.

Hi Everyone, My name is Michelle and I'll be 38 this month. I have been married to my 2nd husband for 6 years. I have 5 children total---ages 21, 16, 13, 16 1/2 mo.'s and 4 mo.'s. The first 3 kids with my first husband and the last 2 (12 1/2 mo.'s apart) with my 2nd. I know--what was I thinking? lol! We have horses (5) and my husband raises birds. I am an RN but currently a stay at home mom. I have lost 32 # to date (5 1/2 weeks.) I hate my doctor so I guess my goal is to find another doctor to follow up with. I want you guys all to know that this sight and all of you have literally saved my life. (My husband helped too!) I was sooo depressed that I couldn't see straight and was already on antidepressants. You guys helped so much-thanks! My ultimate goal is to join a volleyball team at the ymca that some of my old co-workers are on. It's the first thing I'll do when I'm skinny but I'd also like to coach teeball with my husband as soon as our boys are old enough to play. Everyone take care and thanks again. ~michelle 279/247/150
