Hey gang! To spice things up on this board and to get to know one another a little better - I'll post a new question every so often that will get us all thinking and enjoying our new bodies! Take care & keep on movin on! Barbie List your name, family situation (married/kids/pets, etc.), and how much weight you have lost to date. Then tell us one thing you hope to accomplish in March FOR YOURSELF that you wouldn't have done prior to surgery. I'll start... I'm Barbie, I'm single and live with my 2 cats, Seth and Samantha. Sometimes they are noisy roommates! LOL I've lost 27lbs to date and I want to join some outside group that I've been to lazy to join before now. (civic, community service, tennis, adventure club, book club, etc.) Barbie 1-21-04 281/254/150

Hi! My name is Lonnie. I am married, have five children, and four grand-children. In our house we have my husband, myself, my oldest son, his fiance, and our youngest son. We have two cats and one dog. I have lost 32 lbs. as of last Monday, but think I must have lost more because I have developed an ulcer and can't eat anything. I weigh in once a week at a weekly Weigh****chers meeting that I attend with my mother, sister, and daughter. I go to Weigh****chers because everyone that I know that had wls in the past are gaining some of the weight back. I wanted a good eating program to go with the surgery. This month I would like to begin taking scuba diving lessons for a cruise that we are going on in November. Lonnie 1-30-04 292/260/140

thanks Barbie, for "spicing" .. My name is Jan, single, 54, 5 kids (very grown), 8 grandkids, two dogs, I've lost 44 lbs in 7 weeks. This is a real challenge.. a goal for March. A do-able goal, so I don't feel like I am a failure. I am going to join the gym here at work and go!!! I've been waiting for some car repairs to be done so I would have my own transportation .. they are done now.. I have no excuses left .. Although, as I was getting my clothes washed today I began trying to think of one.. so this will be a great challenge .. Away to the gym!!!! ~ Jan

My name is Ananda. I'm divorced with one son. I've lost 34 pounds to date. I try and work out at least 5 days a week. I'd like to lose 10 pounds this month and I probably could if I could get over my snacking craze while at work. Its really hard. My job is boring as hell and eating seems to be convenient. I've decided to start writing down what I'm eating so I can keep track of it.

Hi Everyone! I'm Kay from Minnesota and I'm happily married to Neal with 4 kids ages 27, 24, 14, and 13. I have my first grandchild due in July. My furbabies include a ****er-dach named Cuddlebones and two cats named Missy and Tilly. I work full time as a Certified Medical Assistant at a small clinic. I had an open RNY on the 13th of January. I've lost about 35 pounds and am on one of the dreaded plateaus right now. Hmmm, a goal for March. That's hard. Just to stay healthy and keep losing I guess. Maybe up the exercise a bit. It is pretty non existent right now. Best wishes to all!!

HI! My name is Kristal Vaiani. I am a newly wed and we are not "planning" any children for a couple of years. My disabled mother lives with us and we only have one little fishy. His name is Sid and he say****oo! My surgery was on 1-14-2004, and I have lost 57 pounds to date. My goal for March is to get down to 350. That will put me at 70 pounds gone forever. I have listed a new goal at the top of each months page in my little day planner I carry in my purse. I also am starting to kinda charting my weight loss on a weekly basis. I may start a food journal, still have not started it yet, maybe I should? I look forward to everyone speaking their minds here. This board has been my salvation, besides God, on occassion. THank you all for your post and questions. Have a really great day and... "just keep lossing, just keep lossing..." Sorry, my nephew is watching Finding Nemo and the song is stuck in my head. Kristal
