Tonia, I had surgery on the 12th of Jan. and have lost 35 lbs so far. My WL has slowed down also. I have started walking with the family and am feeling much better now. My scales at home have gone and will not weigh me right, so I have decided to focus on feeling better physically, mentally, and socially! I know that the weight will eventually come off so I am not going to sweat the periods of the weight numbers slowing down! We have taken a big step in making our lives better! I choose to do all the things that I could not do in the past and forget about being a certain number on a scale! Concentrate on something that you have always wanted to do and do it!!!! Good Luck! Tonia, I had my surgery on 1/6 and have only lost 26 lbs. this is very discouraging, I do take pride in the fact that I went from an size 22 to a 14-16. Just being on the losing side is a miracle within itself. Don't give up and for your tea have you tried splenda. I crave sweets all the time but I mix my drinks, even my water with spleda and it helps. Stay Blessed

Sounds like you are right on track... I had surgery on 1/12 and have lost 36 pounds since surgery. Best of luck to you!

It sounds like if you are doing bad that the rest of us are too. I had surgery a week after you and I have lost 29 lbs. I had expected to lose faster since I am very large but according to my doctor we will lose 20-30 lbs 1st month 8-10 lbs 2nd month to 12th month. Then it will slow down even more. If you think about 2.5 lbs a week for a year it totals 130 lbs and that's a lot of weight. We just have to be patient.

I had surgery on 1/12 and have lost 35 lbs. The nutritionist said I wasn't eatting enough and my metabolism may have slowed down. In any case, I'm not gaining and it's the first time I've lost this much and kept it off. It will come, just hang in there. Justine
