Roll call for Jan people!!
It is so great to hear everyone's successes.......we all just need to remember that our bodies are all doing thier own thing, and that is OKAY!(Do I sound like jack handy from SNL?) I am 4 weeks out today and down 23 lbs as of last Tuesday at my Dr's office. I am trying not to focus on the scale........but focus on my eating habits instead......(that and I forgot to callibrate my scale to my Dr's on Tuesday when I got home)........I am working on getting more active as I have been really tired lately......I was good on the treadmill for a week.....and then got a case of the tired's.....and had a bad vitamin experience that really had me on the couch for most of a day......(don't take magnesium on an empty stomach).........anyway, thanks Kristin for the Roll Call!

Hi all Jan Losers!
I've read all your posts, and hate to say, but I'm from FL and it was GORGEOUS out today!!! I wore shorts and a tank top while I planted my spring garden. As for weight loss, I think I'm down about 25 pounds or so. I've tolerated everything I've eaten (except p-nut butter & I think I ate that too fast..). I'm working on getting in all of my requirements while maintaining a healthy, balanced menu. Water is an issue, it just doesn't sit on my tummy well - the flavored waters do, but sometimes I just want the real thing! I used to always be a HUGE water drinker. I'm walking at least a mile a day, 5x per week. In a couple more weeks I cna go ahead with the strength training. I like that my clothes are getting bigger! This was a great idea - let's keep it up!

My surgery date was 1-5-04 and I am down 55 pounds and 70 1/2 inches. So very happy. Can eat tuna, beef, raw and cooked veggies, salad (which I craved during the first 5 weeks, so strange). The only thing that gives me trouble is chicken, sometimes its ok and other times it feels like lead in my pouch. I tried cauliflower cooked mushy and it made me sick, the texture was an issue.
Always eat my protein first. I tried a bite of canteloupe and a bite of honeydew and it was good but I didn't want to risk the natural sugar.
Will be very happy when winter says bye-bye and spring says hello, although it has been rather nice the last few days, in the 50's here.
So happy I had WLS and excited about my future. (It still feels like I am dreaming and afraid to wake up and the weight loss not be real)
Good luck to everyone!!
I had my Surgery on Jan 6th..........I ended up with a leak but I am doing great now.........Today was the first day that I got to walk around with no tubes in me. Whooooooooooo Hooooooooooooo. I have lost around 50+ lbs so far.........I am just glad that I made it through everything with the problems I had..........I thank the Lord everyday!
