HEy everyone, I just wanted to get some feed back on what all everyone else is eating at this stage. Between my Birthday, and Valentine's day etc...I have eaten out quit a bit. It is funny how little I eat, also have to have a to go box every time. I have tried several different things. Grilled chicken with cheese is one the safe ones. Of course eggs, cheese, and ham are all ok. Can not live without the tuna packs! Had a turkey sandwich,(picked off most bread) with guacamole and shredded letuse. It was good but of couse only ate like 1/4 of it. I had a chicken club salad the other day from Wendey's. Ate mostly just the chicken and cheese, the rest was put in the fridge. Had a chicken fajita pita from Jack-in-box. I got it w/out tomatos, it was very good as well. I do not eat the pita, but can get down most of the chicken. I have a very on the go lifestyle so I eat out alot. That I do not think will ever change in my life. I just am having to learn how to order the correct things. It may come as a surprise, but stay away from the kids menu...most of the time they are just full of fried stuff that is definatly not things I want to eat. I just order regular portions, just take alot home. I can only eat maybe 2 or three times a day. I have to have at least 4-6 hours between food. I always have my water, but food has to almost completly digest before I can eat again. I am thinking maybe I should start a food journal, just to keep up with my progess and see where I may need to make changes in the future. Anyone who has input on new or different things they have eaten at about 4-5 weeks out, Iwould love to hear about it. I am 4 weeks, 4 days out. God Bless all of you, Kristal

hi there; I WISH I could eat salad, I really miss it. I tried last week and was so sick...Eggbeaters, Tuna, Wendys chili, cheese, peanut butter, all that goes down ok..I eat every 3-4 hrs. It is small stuff, but helps with my energy level. I was getting so ill if I waited too long to eat. I have at least one protein shake a day. I was getting a little bummed because I am down only 30 lbs since 1/12, but then I try to remember that this is the first time in years I have seen the doggone scale go DOWN, lol..thanks for sharing. Donna PS - I tried those morningstar farm fajita veggie burgers and chicken patties and they were awesome!! Thats about the only "meat" i have tried thus far

Hi Kristal! Congrats on your new journey thus far! Consider yourself one of the lucky ones to be able to eat so many new things. Good thing - I am one of those as well! LOL I get what you are saying about an active lifestyle and needing to eat on the go, but here is my two cents about where I (not necessarily you) would wind up if I kept up my old eating habits (whi*****lude old eating hangouts): back at my old weight... One of the biggest things I have learned just since my surgery (and have not really liked thus far..) - is that I have to CHANGE my eating habits - that means where I eat as well. I have to relearn how to cook, shop and yes, control my eating out. You do not have as much control over calories, fats and other additives in foods that are bought out. I say this to myself as much as anybody, so please do not feel that I am being judgemental. I HATE cooking. I live alone and have never liked to cook. But I have committed myself to a new lifestyle so I have ordered a few of the cookbooks that are on this site and have pledged to myself to begin learning how. Good luck on your journey! Barbie

Kristal-I would definitely keep a food journal. It helps you be accountable for each bite you take if you have to write it down. There are books out there with restuarant foods broke down by fat, sugar, calories, etc. I travel in my job and will have to eat out a lot but I am going to be very selective and go to the store and buy approved foods. I agree that we do have to change our eating habits and be very aware of every bite and how it is cooked. Good luck. Pat
