I know sounds really lovely. But I'm trying to eat one egg and its painful. The past three nights I have done nothing but spit up saliva, or water, which ever it is, but I think its saliva. I had scrambled eggs last week and I was fine. Now its like I cant eat at all. I feel like it sits like a rock at the bottom of my throat. Any suggestions? I'm calling the office tomorrow, but til lthen...HELP!!!!!

I had the same problems with egg. Haven't touched it in a week. Wait a couple of weeks and try eating it again. That is what I'm doing with all foods. linda

Thank you so much for the advice. I think I will leave eggs alone for a while and ask my dr if I can move onto refried beans or something else for protein in the meantime.

I went through the same thing for almost 2 weeks. I found that the only thing I could do was go back to protein shakes for awhile-what ever the problem was it went away just as quick as it showed up. But please speak to your doctor just in case.

I understand what you mean, it's like that feeling when water or spit, or something is coming up before you are going to puke, but then you don't. It's so uncomfortable!! I had a cooked egg at two weeks, and that night I didn't feel great, but the next day I burped that egg up all day, and it was so gross! My Mom boiled me an egg this last weekend and I tried it and I was fine. I haven't been brave enough to eat another egg any other way.

I am post-op 18 days. I tried a microwaved, poached and even a fried egg. It just doesn't do a thing other than make me feel awful each time I tried to eat them. I guess this is one food I'm gonna give up for a while. I'll try later. 1st time I dumped was yesterday, that fried egg just was like eating a rock or something. Felt like it loged in my throat. I finally dumped on the H2o hours later. EWWWWW. I'll get protein other ways for now. Elissa

I don't want to scare you, but yesterday, i ate one for breakfast and went about my day. i felt the horribly full feeling not matter what. everything i drank and even the egg came back up. i got concerned when i couldnt keep down 3 tiny sips of water. i called my doc and ended up having an endoscopy to correct some stricture of the hole in my stomach/intestine area. honestly, i don't think it was the egg at all because all the other food ive eaten today has managed to go where it's supposed to. i would just monitor what you're "spitting up" if you can't keep anything at all down, call your doctor ASAP. the endosopy isn't a really big deal, it was just a little scary at first. best of luck to you!
