Dawn!! You are doing GREAT!! Oh the joys of soft food I know what you mean about veggies, I want them too! Gee my mom would be proud of me if she read this!! I was brave today, I got a taco and ate a few bites. It was pretty good. One thing I did when I was on liquids and I wanted to chew so bad, I bought beef jerky and would chew it up and spit it out, Not sure if it's such a great idea but it did help. Yeah I guess it is kinda early for hair loss. Keep up the GREAT job!! Kristin

Hi Kristin, I have the problem of eating too fast. Now, I'm afraid that I won't chew enough before I swallow. I didn't practice chewing my food really good before surgery like I should have either. I'm gona try the ham this weekend. Then will make pea soup out of the rest. I have wanted to try ground beef too but haven't had the nerve yet. I make so much stuff out of it for the family. As for tuna, the only kind I can eat is the solid white albacore. It's harder to get mushed up though. I mixed it with miracle whip and put it on about a 1/4 slice of toasted bread with a slice of tomato on it. It went pretty good. I sure hope we keep this post going. I like to see what others are tolerating for food and it gives me ideas too. Guess I just like to know I'm not alone in this.

Kay, I'm still having problems try to take my time to eat, never fails phone rings, dogs start to fight , kids start to fight or the door bell rings. Think I'm going to fast all day and eat after midnight!! This is how I tryed new things, I would just take one bite and then find something else that went down ok from before. I just ate a strawberry tonight, I was ok with it, Oh wait I just ate it 5 minutes ago, I think I'll be ok with it. As for your tuna maybe if you have one of thoes little choppers put it in it and maybe that will make it soft. I'm glad you didn't have any trouble with the bread, I have had a few bites here and there with no real problem. I have to tell you that sugar free candy goes down real well too!! BAD KRISTIN When I crave something sweet I only have 1 and that is it. Now before surgery I was looking to hijack the hershey truck :lol Hey enjoy your ham just slice it thin! Kristin
