Hey Guys, I am still trying new foods here and there, and I tried a chicken soft taco from taco bell. I ate the whole thing. I picked off half the tortillia but ate the chicken, cheese, letuse, and sour cream. I was really full and stayed that way for many hours. What do you all think? I have not had any bad reactions to what I ate, I just feel guilty, like I ate too much. Any experiences would be appreciated. FYI- I am on my schedule as far as my diet and sticking to the food list. I still feel guilty, no matter what I eat, please help!!

My Doctor says if you eat it and it doesnt bother you. then it is okay. I am just 2 weeks post op and I am trying what I can. I like the dentimores chicken and potatoes. but i can only get though like a 3rd of it. the beef one is good also. and you get your protien. but I am trying to get on a protien shake diet and water to see how that goes. today is my first day and not to bad. i have had one cup of it and it is like drinking chocolate pudding. i still have one more cup to go . try to get all the protien you can. will help you not to have bad hairloss. I am also trying to find out when it is a good time for me to start exersising. I had the full open operation and it will take me longer to heal then the people who had the laperscopic done. anyway dont feel guilty. just be happy you didnt have to throw it up...

OMG - you ate that already. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. I hope you chewed, chewed, chewed. I am on pureed foods until post-op 8 weeks. It takes your pouch 6 weeks to completely heal and you shouldn't pu**** Take care of yourself and good luck. Dawn -30

Kristal, I think we are so programmed to feel guilty about food..that it will take awhile for us to think right ... Everytime I eat.. I get scared.. am I eating too much.. what if it is the wrong thing.. will I be one of the few who fail.. I guess it is natural. About 10 days out I just freaked out.. I am so afraid of stretching the pouch.. well, i'm sure you know the drill We have to monitor our water, protein intake, exercise and last.. the calorie content. I just can't drink that much water... but I keep trying I think I have the protein down.. and the exercise is just walking now.. so I've got a lot of that in. Sounds like your doing good!!! BTW/ how much weight have you lost? ~ Jan
