I went to an associate of Dr. Callery's named Dr. Potts. I had the surgery on Jan. 22, 04. Dr. Potts accidently put two cuts in the top of my stomach. He didn't notice the blood filling up in my cavity, the anistegist noticed thank GOD! My stomach had to be stitched up to repair it and then I was closed up without the bypass being conducted. I was told by Dr. Potts that I can try to have the surgery again in 4 to 6 months. Now if that isn't scary, I'm not sure what really is then... Good luck to everyone considering this very dangerous surgery!!!!!!! Dee

Oh, Dee, what a horrible disappointment for you!!! I don't know about you.. but I would be contacting someone.. this is a horrible "mistake" and could have been life threatening to you (I'm sorry, as if you didn't know). After all the fighting you have been through to get this done and then have this happen.. I will be praying for you.. ~ Jan

Hi Dee I am sorry that you had these problems! I can not imagine what a let down it must have been to go through all the prep and not have the bypass. Thank GOD that you had a great anesthetist that was paying attention. Take Care! Carolyn

HI Dee! I can not begin to imagine how you feel right now. I am truely sorry. Do you think in a few months you might still go ahead with the surgery? Keep your head up high and know that you have people in the world praying for you. Best of Luck, Kristal

Oh I am so sorry to hear of your trouble. If you are still considering the surgery I hope you are NOT considering using that dr. OR his associate!
