Hi. Is anyone else having this problem? My doctor requires a total of 96oz of fluids daily which does include 4 required protien meals. I cannot force myself to drink that much, yet at times I get dizzy which I know is a sign of dehydration. Any tips as to how to achieve this?

Hi. My doc said to just drink as much as I possibly could. remember just to keep sipping while you are not eating. There is no way possible you can drink 96 oz at this point. I also eat things high in protein so I dont have to worry about those protein drinks right now. Cheese, refried beans, cottage cheese, baked sweet potatoe (not the skin)..just do the best you can do.. Congrats to being a big loser now!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tambra

I know this will sound funny.. but I bought those 1/2 pin****er bottles.. by Ozarka, I make it my goal to drink one an hour .. unless I'm eating.. I measure my water by how many bottles I have empty. I'm taking 8 of them to work with me tomorrow in my little bag.. that way I know when I've acheived my objective. It is a funny little game.. but one I hope will help me get my water down. Tomorrow is my first day back at work.. wish me luck!!! 96 ozs is quite a lot.. just try to do the best you can!! ~ Jan

We are still early after WLS to be fitting in 96oz. of liquid a day !!! I can barely make it to 46oz. I was told never to drink more than 8 oz in an hour. Saving me has been counting S/F popcicles toward my liquid intake. I am hoping it will become easier as the weeks move on. Good luck! Dawn

I'm supposed to have 64 ounces and I have trouble too, since I'm not supposed to drink a 1/2 hour before or after a meal I was not drinking in the morning until after I ate - well a few days ago I decided to start drinking the moment I woke up (on the advise of someone else) so that I got in 16 ounces before I had to stop for that half hour before breakfast. I notice that I'm more energetic in the morning since I started doing this.
