Open Recoveries

Ok ladies - some of you may have seen me post in other areas. I am VERY VERY curious about the recovery time for Open procedures. My dh is in Korea for the year and I have a 3 1/2 year old son. He is pretty self sufficient except for diapers and making food. I live with mom who will be home at night and on the weekend. Just wondering what you all think. I am hoping to get the week of surgery for day care and then take over the following monday. Do you think it is possible. We usually jus****ch movies anyways because the weather is so nasty now. You will not be able to life your son at all !!!!!! If you can I would get day care for 2 weeks. I have lap and can not lift over 10 lbs for 6 weeks. Take care and best of luck. Dawn

I had open rny on Jan 14.I am 2 weeks out lifting small weights and walking.I think it depends on the person.I would get someone to come help out,like a teenager with the baby,as teenagers can be cheap but responsible help,especially if you are home.
