Hi Everyone,
I had my surgery on the 22nd and I really not doing so well. While I was in the hospital I had terrible muscle spasms and gas pains. I came home on Sunday and I did good yesterday. But today has been my worst day. I have pain in my stomach all the time and im nausea. I can't eat anything and the pain is behind my belly button all the way up to my throat. I feel like something is in my throat all the time. Last night I had my first BM and I thought I was doing good. When I drink water I have foam coming up in my throat. I also keep getting this feeling that comes over me like im going to pass out. Someone please tell me what is wrong with me.
Thanks so much
Michelle
Michelle, Call your surgeon! I'll email you personally the name of a girl from south glens falls that had something that sounds a little similar to you. I'm 6 days post op, I had my procedure done in Saranac Lake. I'm headed up there tomorrow, but will check this board and email as soon as I get home in the evening.

I have the same problem, I have gurgling in my throat when I try to drink and eat. I haven't ask the doctor about that - but I did almost pass out a couple of times and the doctor told me that it was because I allowed myself to get dehydrated. It's very important that you drink your 8-8oz glasses of water a day. I know it's hard, I struggle every day because I feel so nauseous after drinking - but some people just feel that way.
You should see the doctor about the pain, there may be something wrong with the stamples around your intestines.
