I am in need of some uplifting conversation. i just spoke with the nurse yesterday and they are having problems with medicaid, I guess all of a sudden they have decided that they are wanting to take anywhere from 30 to 60 days for approval and my surgery is scheduled for the 27th. The nurse said they might have to move my sure back a couple of months. I know that eventually I will have the surgery, but I have so much to deal with now with my special needs child that it just seems like to much too handle at one time. I know that I can count on you guys to help me out. Does anyone have any suggestions???

Hi I also have medicaid but as a secondary Medicare is my primary. But from the experiences that I have had dealing with the state. You need to get on them and don't give up keep pushing. It seems sometimes their case loads are so big that if you start to annoy them they seem to put you as a priority to get you off their back. Make sure that you get the name of the person and their extension and try to deal with them each time. The most important thing to remember is to kill them with kindness. Although sometimes you do not feel like being so kind. It goes alot further with this sort of situation and you will stand out since most people they deal with are grumpy. Good Luck Kelly
