Thursday is the Day!

Thanks to all who have kindly contacted me and offered kind words. But most of all, I appreciate your heartfelt prayers for my well-being as I begin the journey to the losing side. I learned that there are the most special people in the world who have made the WLS journey and who communicate at ObesityHelp.com. I am blessed to have been offered an early appointment by my surgeon, Dr. Jim Madura. Many people wait a very long time, only to run into delay after delay, with their doctor. I have had no problems or delays and all my pre-op testing went smooth. So, with all that said - I await my new beginning!

Thank you Meredith! I will try to go to every meeting - I had my first appt. on 10/27 and was given my surgery date of 1/15 at that time. That is when I learned of the critical importance of attending the support meetings. I missed in November but attended in December and again on Monday 1/12. It was most inspiring. I have been a prisoner in my own body, unable to do any exercise. I am very much looking forward to sustaining an exercise program that includes walking. I guess it all was going to smoothly!!!! I was cancelled for Thursday January 15th....seems time got away from the surgeon, who looked over my pre-op reports at the 11th hour and discovered a possible clotting irregularity shown on the PTT test.....I guess I will have to wait and see. But for now, I go back to work...I"M DONE!!
