POST OP REVISION
I had my surgery Jan 7th, I was in 5 days. I had no leaks, pain was pretty bad. It's now under control. I just got home today, I'm just drinking water, I don't want to eat at all. ( WOW what a great feeling) I'm to have just luquids, for about 2 week, I don't like jello, and really don't want broth. I'll just drink water and diet ice tea. I was told to drink 8 oz of skim milk for protein and that gave me the " RUNS" But I feel ok now. I'm just thankful I'm alive and I'm home. I had an open revision from the VBG to the RNY.

Hey Kristin, I, too, had a revision done on January 9th, my vbg was in 1999 also, but I had only regained about 30 lbs, before i decided to just nip it in the bud and do the revision. The only thing with my surgery this time was the amount of back pain, it is horrendous!! I stayed in the hospital just one day, and came home, no complications at all, and am very grateful for that!! I actually went to work today for a few hours. Hope everything works out for you!!
Hi Kristin,
I had surgery with Dr. Colella the same day as you. I think we passed in the hall but you were talking to nurses down where they check for blood clots. I was lucky that they did it lap. mine was considered a revision becasue I had this done 8/02 and it didn't work. Still not sure why, will talk with Dr. at first visit. I'm glad your home and feeling better.
Take Care
