Got a Date!!! January 27th...
I cant believe it.. My date is less than 3 weeks away. Wow. Well I have not been approved for the surgery yet. I hope I do..I was suppose to have surgery last year on July 11th, 2003 but got denied because my insurance had an exclusion on this type of surgery. I was so hurt and I did not even fight it. I just left it like that. Well my insurance change starting January 1st, 2004. I hope that I get approve this time. Their is no exlusion or pre-existing clause. I am so happy about that at least I believe I can fight if I dont get approve but I have a possitive feeling about this. Well go luck to those who are having surgery this month. Wish me luck and keep me in your prayers.

Hey, if MY insurance hadn't changed their underwriters, you'd've been having YOUR surgery the day before mine! Then we could compare notes afterward!! What a trip this process is, isn't it? I really can't complain...I've been uncharacteristically calm and focused from the start, and it seems that not a lot has set me "off" - I think a bunch of praying people has had a hand in that, tho! I'm so glad for you, Desiree! Funny how I feel a personal "win" whenever anyone finally gets their date! I WILL be praying for you - can't hardly miss the date! I just have to find someone who isn't gonna make me jump through all the hoops again, 'n I'll be on the losing side with you! (My boss is LIT -- she said to "...appeal it to the highest source possible...you were approved LAST year, not under this NEW coverage...": I guess it goes both ways, eh? It'll all work out for me...it's in God's hands as it has been from the start. There's a reason for my delay - I'll have 20/20 hindsight as to "why?" afterward!) God bless you real good, Desiree!!
