Just home from SURGERY
Welcome home! I just got home on the 7th. The hardest thing I have had to do is drink as well. I did drink something to fast and boy that threw me for a loop. Also I have had to sleep in a recliner. I can't get in and out of the bed yet. I woke up toady and I did feel a little less sore(3 dats later), but I do get sore and very tired after I take a shower. Well that is my sob story, I hope it makes you feel a little better. Good Luck to you!
Kim, I have to sleep in the recliner as well. I hope I will feel less sore. The worst pain was last night but now I am taking my pain meds and I actually walked on my treadmill today for 20 min. It was really slowly and my husband stayed with me the whole time. I am drinking better today but I am not that fond of the protein drinks that I am to drink so I am looking for some I heard of the other day. Thanks again.
Kelley
Hi Kelley, Glad to hear your feeling well enough to walk on a treadmill! WOW! Good for you! I am interested in what protein drink you do not care for, since I need to purchase some for when I come home. The WISH Center Website lists a new chocolate flavor, I was thinking of trying that one. Keep up the good work! Lark
Hi Lark. I do not really like the Designer Whey from GNC (Strawberry) but my brother thinks I need to use the 1% milk instead of skim so I may try that later. I do like the EAS dark chocolate but I am trying to decide if it made me a little ill this morning. It was either that or the cherry tylenol. My husband found extra strength (adult dose) liquid tylenol. It work GREAT but I have a feeling it is too sweet. I order UNJURY off the internet last night- it is supposed to be really good with no after taste. Also it comes in unflavored so you can put it in soups and yogurts. I also ordered Ultra Pure, my brother says it taste good. I guess the thing is that the shakes are so frothy that I don't like drinking them. I thougt of trying the WISH Center, if you do, let me know if you like them.

Dear Kelley,
So glad to see that you are home, let me be the first to say welcome to the losing side even though I am still pre-op.
Try to get in as much liquids as you can but do not force it just sip, sip, sip. You will get in enough, and if you have someone there with you it might be best to let them help you up and down for a day or so.
