Start of a new way of living
January 19 is the day. Most likely I am the senior person this month to have wls. At age 59 I am ready to finally make a permanent change in my health. This has been quite a journey for an old timer but looking forward to years of healthy living. Good luck to all of you January life changers and see you on the lighter side.
Congratulations, Bob, on your surgery date and your resolve about improving your health. It's never too late to figure it out, I believe.
I had my laproscopic RNY January 2 and am down 13 pounds after 6 days. I know it won't be this easy the whole way, but I feel fantastic.
Congrats again and best of luck!
Linda
Congrats, Bob, you will be fine. I had my surgery on 1/5 and have been home since evening 1/9. I can sense what you may be feeling now, apprehension, fear, sleeplessness, changing your mind twice a day but believe me you are not alone it is normal even maybe a prerequesite. We did not, for the most part ever make a decision to become as healthy/ unhealthy as we are in the years prior and now all these feelings associated w/ your surgery are just like any decision you have made in the past maybe not on this level but @ the job or at home. My life change is beginning and I have no idea how I am going to eat, drink or be merry but I'm here and raring to go.
Believe me, you will wake up and move on. May God bless you and your family through this special time in your lives, when once again He will show you His power. James M. praying for your peace of mind and health in NC.
