consumed with surgery thoughts

Is it normal to have difficulty thinking of anything other than an upcoming surgery? I'm not nervous or afraid (yet, 22nd date) but the issue consumes my thoughts. My husband thinks I'm depressed because I'm quiet all of a sudden, but I'm just so busy THINKING!

Actually, waiting is giving me time to think of all the things I need to get done before the 22nd. I got my date so quickly that it sort of threw me. Are you skinny in your dreams? That would make it worth it. He he he.

OMG it is so good to hear that other people are experiencing the same thing as me. I find myself talking about this, thinking about this and even trying to get that "last thing in before surgery". It is so weird to know your life will change at the hands of a talented professional. My husband tells me there is something wrong with you, you are not yourself. He is very scared I will not make it out of this surgery (which makes me feel like crap). Anybody else get the negativity from relatives and friends?
