Surgery very close getting nervous

Hi everyone I'm new to the board, as I said in the title I'm getting vert nervous about my surgery which is Jan.13th. Would really love to hear from anyone who has had the surgery.

Hi Heather Thank you so much for ansewering my message, got a call from the nurse right after I sent out my message and they have to back my surgery up to Feb3rd I was really disappointed but I understand my Dr.s mother is having heart by-pass next week and he is going to New York to be with her I know these things happen because I used to work in a Dr.s office and things happen but I was really set to go do I guess I have to wait a little longer, the nurse said that they be able to get me in sooner they just have to wait until he gets back in town. Again thanks for ansewering my e-mail it is nice to have someone to talk to .Judy

I had surgery (lap RNY) on Dec 9. I had never had any surgery, or children, or any hospitals stays up until that point, so I can understand how you feel. You are welcome to email me if you would like to.

Hi Judy: Im new to the board also. My surgery is Friday the 9th. less than 48 hrs away! im really nervous but excited to start the losing process and be healthy and maybe some shorts for the summer!

Hi Denise: Just want you to know that I will be thinking of you on Friday and hope all goes well as I know it will, also wanted to let you know that the nurse called yesterday and changed my date to Jan. 20th as the Dr. is going to New York next week to be with his mother who is having some kind of surgery on Monday I told her that I understand but boy am I ready to get this over with and like you said maybe shorts this summer so good luck sweetie I will be praying for you. You are not alone! I am having my surgery on Monday Jan 12th and I am extremly nervous. My best friend had the surgery done in April and she is doing great. I wish you luck and a very happy life after WLS. You will be fine.
