Topic: Are we done?
Not that I'm not thrilled to have lost 1/2 of myself this last year...but, is it just me, or are we coming to the point where we are done losing? Anyone still losing regularly? Any words of advice? Thanks.

Not trying to get pregnant, but I relate with your 'never ending period' as posted on your profile. I am on the Birth Control pill, and while it is effective and I am not getting pregnant, I get my period every 2 weeks! WEIRD!! I wish you much luck on conceiving, what does the doctor say?

According to my doctor you can expect weight loss to slow down. He gave me the following formula Example in round figures Six month period 100 lbs Next six months 50 lbs (1/2 of first six month loss) Next six months 25 lkbs (1/2 of second six month loss) I'm only 1 week post op so I haven't proven his theory one way or the other but in listening to other people on the message board it is probably true.

Topic: RE: 4 days after surgery?'s and advice please....
I'm not sure what to tell you since my experience was different. I had lap wsl & gallbladder removal on Tuesday and felt like someone used me for a boxing bag on Tuesday & Wednesday. Thursday I began to feel better and by Friday I felt like I hadn't had surgery as long as I was sitting up. The stitches still pull 6 days after surgery when I get out of bed. I came back to work on Monday following my surgery last Tuesday and worked all day with no problem. I feel great at this time, no tiredness, nausea, etc. Hope all is going well for you now. Good luck in the coming months on your weight loss. At least we can focus on the end now instead of perpetually waiting for wls.

You are impressive and encouraging to me. I am one week post op and only lost 3 lbs. I know the trama of surgery makes some of us hold onto fluids but I'd like to see a bigger drop on the scale. Post like yours encourage me to look into the distant future rather than worrying about this week. I can only imagine all the dreams you've seen come true during the last year.

First off, congrats on your surgery......being post op, i know what you are going through....the soreness will go away, just remember there was alot of rearranging that went on in there and it does take awhile to heal..............Ugh eating..that was hard...i had that same problem when I came home, but I found out it was mostly head hunger, I really didnt want it..just was hungry if i thought about it ......i know its hard, just hang in there....after sometime, and learning to eat again, you will find out we need the food we think we do, just to survive, and its such a wonderful feeling!!!...Keep your chin up....and as always, we are here if you need us...............Michelle Chapman Open RNY 1-10-2003 295/178/150.....
