Topic: RE: Average weekly weight loss
Hi Brenda! I had my surgery the day before you, on 1/2/03. I have found that I am losing mainly in "chunks" now. I won't lose anything for 2 weeks, then 5 or 6 pounds will come off at once. So it averages out to about 2 pounds per week. Keep up the good work and congrats!

I had my surgery 1-21-03. I started out at 345lbs. I am now 262 for a total loss of 83lbs. I thought I was pretty slow too. But, hearing you guys makes me feel a little better. Still got about 120 to go. Just taking it day by day. Take care

I had surgery January 6, 2003. I'm down 72 pounds since then and 83 total. I had 100 pounds to lose, so I don't think the 72 is too bad. I'm feeling great and wearing size 12/14 clothes now. I think it depends on how much weight you had to lose to begin with. Don't compare yourself to others, take it slow and do what the doctor has told you to do, it will come off. Good luck!
Topic: RE: Does anyone drink WINE? Or any alcohol?
I am now 25 weeks post op aka 6 months on July 14th. My drink of choice that seems to work well is a cosmopolitan. I love them and am also a cheap drunk. I have yet to have a hangover though I guess because it doesnt take that many to feel intoxicated so you stop sooner. I am afraid to try beer as I still dont drink anything fuzzy or carbonated. I havent tried anything like that not even once. Too scary for me! Good luck to everyone and happy loosing!
