Topic: RE: Anyone at goal yet?
Hello. I am only 15 pounds from my goal. The last 20 pounds seems to be the hardest, and the weight loss has slowed way down but I think eventually I will get there, just as we all will. Good luck to everyone!

Wow I am not at or near my goal at all. Course I did have 200lbs to lose. I have lost 103lbs last time I went to Dr's. Have been really stressed out lately because my house and cars were flooded during the Hurricane. Our life has been turned upside down. We are staying with my sister in her 2 bdrm apartment til we find someplace else to stay. Say a prayer we find someplace soon it is quite cramped there. Take care

Topic: RE: Streching Pouch??!!!
I had my surgery 9 months ago and have not had that happen I am lucky if I eat 3oz at a meal. When did you have your surgery? But just think before you would have eaten a whole one with chips and a soda. I do not think its how much your eating as much as it is what your eating. Take care
Topic: RE: Streching Pouch??!!!
Courtney,
I know that there is a certain amount of 'stretch' that is supposed to occur. When I went in at six months, my surgeon's nurse said that by 1 year that they like to see their patients eating 1 to 11/2 cups of food! Just the thought of that scares me. I know I tend to see increases from time to time and I just try to remember that this is a nomal part of the process. According to the pouch rules for dummies guide lines, I think they say that the desired 'mature' pouch size is 6-10 ounces so, I figure that until I get beyond that, I won't worry too much. Another thing to think about is that there are some things that go down easier then others. Like you said that you ate 1/2 of a wrap...how much lettuce was in it? That right there could add a lot of volume that just mushes down to nothing. I've heard many people say that the volume they can eat can vary a LOT depending on what they are eating. I also try to remind myself that my goal in eating is satisfaction....not full....which is really hard sometimes. Well, I hope that helps some....or any. Hang in there!
Topic: Streching Pouch??!!!
Does anyone else feel like their pouch is streching already. It seems like I can eat a whole lot more than I used to be able to. Yesterday I had 1/2 a wrap sandwich for lunch. Before I could never eat even 1/2 of a 1/2 of one. I don't drink sodas and I obey the rules so I don't know why it would be streching. Has anyone else experinced this?

Well, some of us have got to be getting close and I was just wondering if anyone has made it yet. Good luck to all!
Topic: RE: 8 months post-op and having firtst complications
Hi Ralph! What an amazing weight loss! Congratulations! You and I share a surgical date. I'm down 130 lbs, 5 clothing sizes and am SO grateful for this surgery. I have the same problem as you from time to time and it's miserable. I've started using Benefiber at least 2-3 times a week. It has no flavor or texture and easily mixes in a cup of hot tea. I can completely relate to what you're going thru and the horrible complication that resulted in surgery for you. I've not had anything that serious ~ but could have sworn I was real close one day!! I'll do everything I can to prevent that from happening again. Again, congrats on your terrific success!!

Congratulations, Mary!!! I join you as a fellow member of the CC also...113# since January 6. I feel like a new woman, isn't it awesome! I continue to fight with the "carb demons" however. But, I'm more able to fight than ever before in my life. Keep up the good work!
