Michellle, I have been going through the same thing. My cales are finally starting to move again. I hit my 100 pound last week...yeah! And over the weekend I lost 3 more pounds and I have only lost since August 13 pounds. Very slow but hang in there it will happen! Make sure to increase your protien intake and your water! Good luck! Topic: 162 lbs. down!!!!
Hi all. I'm now down 162 lbs. since 1/28/03. I began at 420 lbs. and now weigh 258 lbs. This surgery has saved my life in so many ways. I no longer use a CPAP machine for sleep apnea. My blood pressure is within normal ranges (still take blood pressure meds - but I think not for long!). I can walk several blocks without losing my breath. I have my life back! I look forward to the future now - I couldn't do that before. So many change, and I feel like I'm walking on clouds!

Yep...hit the brick wall about 4-6 weeks ago. Even gained almost three pounds one week. Kept gaining and losing the same few pounds. Has taken almost six weeks to clear the 150's....which is dreadfully slow for me. I had been losing 2-3 pounds a week pretty consistantly up until then. Tried lots of things to get things moving again...with a lot of frustration. Last week, I decided that I better get serious again before I was out of time. Went back to exercising this week (weight training only). Cut out just about all carbs. Drink four protien drinks a day. Drink 100+ ounces of water. Guess what? The scale is moving! Since Sunday I'm down 5 pounds and by the looks (or should I say feel) of things I am probably losing inches again too! I know it's frustrating. All I can suggest is getting back in there and doing everything you can do before more time goes by and it gets harder to lose. Good luck to you! Lap Rny 1/31/03 274/149/135

Topic: RE: Anyone Else With Bad Gas Smell?
Me too! It didn't start until about 7-8 months post op...but it's killer! Never heard of 'internal deoderant'....not sure I really want to take another thing every day either. Of course, it would be nice to not have to evacuate every time I think I may toot!

I too have reallllllly foul smelling gas and have to open windows in my car or shut the door to the room I was in... It's rather embarrassing I must say, because sometimes, I have to just let it out or else my stomach just cramps. What is an internal deodorant, and where would one purchase some?
