I finally reached my personal goal of getting into the 100 pound range. I weighed myself at Curves on 12/1/03 and just about shouted out loud with excitement(?). The scale read Drumroll please!!!!!!!! 189. My next goal is to be at goal of 135 by my anniversary date of 1/24/04. 127 pounds lost..

As of today I am now in the normal range on the BMI scale! My surgery was 1/6/03 and I have lost 117 lbs. woo hoo!!!

January 15, 2003 will be my 1 year anniversary date. Leaving behind my 250 pounds and size 22 clothes. GIVING ME A 130 POUND START WITH NEW SIZE 6 CLOTHES..................GLORY TO GOD......I HAVE NOT HAD ONE PROBLEM OTHER THAN JUST HOW GOOD I WANT TO LOOK AND FEEL. I DIDN'T REALLY TELL PEOPLE ABOUT MY JOURNEY CAUSE IT'S MY JOURNEY. ALL I TOOK WAS GOD WITH ME. I DIDN'T NEED THE EXTRA 'S . I HAVE BEEN BLESSED. I MUST SAY AM LOOKING THE BOMB IN MY NEW OUTFIT'S. PEOPLE ARE ALL WONDERING JUST HOW OR WHAT I DID. I JUST SAY TO THEM GOD IS GOOD AND STAY AWAY FROM CARBS. TO ALL WE CAN DO IT, I LOVE YA AND STAY BLESSED...........

Congratulations! Isn't it such a good feeling to pass these milestones in our WLS journies? I've read your profile and you have really done fantastic. I too am so excited about where I'm at and can equate to the whole shout if from the rooftops statement you made. Good luck with the rest of your weight loss - you're getting real close! Also, wishing you well for your upcoming plastic surgery. Another total success!

Good for you. I know how you feel. I too had the surgery (December 23, 2003) I began this journey at 442 lbs, I have now lost 161 lbs, I now weigh 281 lbs. Like you, life is becoming a wonderful wonderful journey. This surgery is simply amazing isnt it? Keep going girl. our new adventure is still unfolding!!!!

OMG!! I am only 3 lbs overweight! I'm now down a total of 143 lbs, weight 157 this AM. I can't believe how quickly this has all happened! I feel great, everyone says I look great, and I'm in shock. I expect to wake up and find my old, fat, miserable self back again, but this time it's for real. I want to shout from the rooftops! I want people to see me! My God! This is such a rush! I can squeeze into a size 8 CK jeans! SINGLE DIGITS! Who'da thunk? Not me!
My best to all my bothers and sisters who share a January re-birthday. I never realized how appropriate that term is.

Well, I had my surgery on 1/31/03, and I've just hit the Century mark. I guess I'm a slow loser, but I'm thankful for what I've lost so far. I have another 34 pounds to my personal goal, and another 50 pounds to my doctor's goal. LOL!
