Hi, Pat. I'm glad to hear from you and I will be thinking of you and praying that your surgery goes smoothly and your recovery is speedy. I know what you mean about the walking. I'm required to do 30 min a day but I still have to break it up to two 15 min trips. It's hard to get out there but I made up my mind to follow the rules and get all I can out of this process. Dr. Naaman is an amazing man. His surgery schedule is only booked about 2 weeks out. I wish you an amazing new year. Blessings, Carolyn

It has been an awesome year for me! I am down 100lbs and my anniversary is the 13th of Jan. I am so excited to know that there will be no going back! I love the New me, and so does my husband. It's funny to see him always watching me, he picks out my clothes now, because he likes me to look sexy he says. I still find that funny, I'm not used to be considered sexy, but I love it! Have a wonderful New Year filled with new adventures. And remember to always dance!

Congratulations Carolyn! I am amazed that your surgery was scheduled so quickly. After I did my initial consultation with the doctor and had insurance approval I could not get a surgery date for 3 months. My doctor was booked that far in advance. My surgery is scheduled for January 20, 2004 and I am so excited. Hopefully this time next year we will be running races around each other. Now I find it hard to walk much less run.

My one year will be January 23. I have gone from 270 pounds to 148 pounds, from a size 22 to a size 10. I have lost 122 pounds. I'm so excited about life now. People are telling me now not to loose any more weight. That's something that I enjoy hearing. I sell supplemental insurance for a living. It's amazing how people react differently to me now that I'm a normal size to when I was obese. The first time I went out calling on a new account, I was amazed at the reaction from the decision maker, a guy. It's all just too funny. I agree with Michelle, it was a challenging year but all so very, very worth it. From juice, to baby food to eating anything I want. I would have never thought. I'm enjoying the new me and I'm excited about 2004.

Amen Michelle! I had my surgery 1/28/03 and I am down 108 pounds. It has been a very challenging year but it has all been worth it! I have never felt better about me as I do right now. I look good and I have the best job in the world...I work for a surgeon that does gastric bypass surgeries. This is the most rewarding job I could have ever asked for...I love ever one of my patients because I have been where they are. Merry Christmas to all and a very wonderful new year as we begin our new lives! Kim
