Do you look in the mirror and see yourself the same way as before?
For some strange reason, when i look in the mirror i see myself the same way as I did when I was at my highest weight. I really cannot tell the difference. So far I had lost over 60 pounds and cant tell the difference. The only way to tell is my dress size. I went form a 26-28 to a size 18-20. That is a great amount of inches to loose....... Where did it all go? Why do I see myself as if I was still 26-28.
It is quite amazing to know that there is more to you then just FAT! I have been overweight all my life and I never had a chance to feel thin, to feel looked at, as well as to just be comfortable with myself.
Hopefully in a year, I will have the success that most of you are having!
I have the same problem. My husband keeps telling me I have changed so much. People comment me when they reconize me. It is like my brain knows it has to be true but my heart won't accept it. I think so of my problem, is I don't want to change my personality--I want to be the same minus the weight. I do have a before picture and look at it occasionally. I am working on a recent picture. My nutritionist said this would help. I even tried on my wedding dress last week on my 23 rd anniversary--still don't think of myself as smaller. I have heard it takes a year for the brain to catch up.
