Hi Stacy, I say DO IT! I had my TT done this last December and even though it has only been 4 months I am so thrilled that I did it. Really check your doctors out, I interviewd 6 different doctors and love the one I chose. I went in to the surgery clinic on Thursday a.m. and was home Friday afternoon with JP drain tubes. The drain tubes were out within 7 days and everything was great. I would love to have lipo, but that will be down the road. Congrats again. Kathy J.

Melva, Way to go! It was so fun not having to go into those extra sizes. Welcome back to the other side. I love shopping for clothes now. I no longer have to take what fits me no matter what it looks like. I can choose what I like. We have so many choices and so little time. As I walk by mirrors I do not even know the person who is looking back at me. But we are getting to know each other as time goes by. I am 230 pounds down and still going strong. Good luck to youa nd enjoy shopping! Monica

Topic: RE: Hi Everyone
Karen, I understand about the excess skin. I have lost 230 pounds in the 2 years. I developed 2 hernias in my abdomin area, they got so bad that in November I had to have surgery on them and at that time they also removed over 13 pounds of excess skin from my abdomin area. It felt so good to get rid of the flab of skin. This was covered due to the hernias. I am now scheduled for a consult on April 9 with the surgeon to see about the breast issue. They are really bad. I had been complaining about them for a while with the increased back pain due to the stomach shelf has been lost or removed, my breast no longer have any front support. This increased the upper back pain. So we will see what the surgeon has to say in April. Wish me luck. Now my legs are another story. As far as I have found out that insurance will not cover them as this is strictly cosmetic. I have been registerring complains about rashes etc. So maybe someday we might have a chance. Good luck, Monica

Robin, I am so proud of you. You should be so proud of what you have accomplished. I too an 2 years out and thrilled with my new body, not that it is so good, just it is so much better then it was. I have my life back and thank God daily for giving me a second chance. I have lost 230 pounds so far... I am like you fine if I never lose another pound. Stay strong and well - God bless, Monica

Topic: WL Therapist
Has anyone had a good experience with a therapist in San Diego area that is sympathetic with weight loss issues? Perferably in the Kaiser system. I had WLS almost 2 years ago but still have food and weight issues. I stopped losing awhile ago but all of the old habits are back and now I am gaining. I have a large hole in my life and I feel like I need to have some help in filling it with something besides food.

I'm doing great and praising God that I was even allowed to have the surgery due to problems with insurance companies. I've lost a total of 125 pounds and am not a skinny minny by any means, but I feel wonderful and if I never lose another pound I'm content with Me!
