About The Skinny Chef
Jennifer Iserloh – trained chef, certified health coach, and healthy cooking celebrity – believes that life should be celebrated everyday through healthy eating that is both delicious and incredibly nutritious. Her mission is to empower people to take on a bigger role in their own health, serving up delicious tasting power meals made with super foods, that are so much more than just a comfort food make-overs.
As a recipe developer, Jennifer has created thousands of delicious recipes, articles, and blogs posts for TV, print and web publications including The Today Show, Living Well With Montel, SELF, Health Monitor, Prevention, In Style, People, First For Women, AOL, and Livestrong.
In addition to her own bestselling books 50 Shades of Kale (2012), Active Calorie Diet (2011), Secrets of a Skinny Chef (2010), and Yoga Body Diet (2010), she was also the recipe developer for Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s Deliciously Gluten Free (2012), Drop 10 Diet (2012), Jessica Seinfeld’s Deceptively Delicious (2007) and Double Delicious (2010), as well as Joy Bauer’s Food Cures (2007).
After graduating with honors from the Institute of Culinary Education in 2003, she worked in kitchens throughout Manhattan as well as interning with cookbook authors (like Tyler Florence of the Food Network) where she learned recipe development first hand. Shortly thereafter, she served as a private chef working in the homes of exclusive clientele such as Annie Leibovitz, Susan Sontag, and Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld. In 2012, she became a certified health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
Through her blog at skinnychef.com she attracted interest from NBC producers and began to spread her passion for healthy cooking through radio and television, making appearances on the Today Show, Food Network’sChopped, CBS, NBC and other local TV and radio programs. Currently she is the host of Livestrong Woman’s “Healthy Cheats” and “Food Courting”, two Internet TV shows.
